For those interested in being trained as mechanics for the Maine Army National Guard is now offering a $20,000

In Maine, we have mechanics spread throughout the state, and their job is to maintain a fleet of Hummers (HMMWV s), Tractor trailers, track vehicles, rack trucks, generators... you name it.
Sign up and get $20,000, existing student loans paid off, and new student loans paid as well.

In every one of the units in Maine, there are leaders.
The NCOs (Non-commissioned officers) are the Enlisted
leaders who work up the ranks into supervisory slots.
The Officers are commissioned after college and are
the Captains and Majors of our Guard.
There are also Warrant Officer positions in many units
who are the subject matter experts in their field,
and are also commissioned as officers.
You could be commissioned while still in college.

The Maine Army National Guard also has full-time soldiers on hand all over the state of Maine. These are uniformed soldiers "on orders" (meaning getting paid every day to work for the Maine Army National Guard)to do various jobs.
We have carpenters rebuilding our facilities, drivers hauling loads to training sites, as well as many other duties. These include working with children in our Team Building crew that visit schools in Maine and the Counter-drug flight crew. There are too many jobs to list. It works by joining the Guard as a traditional soldier (one weekend a month, two weeks a year) then volunteering or applying for posted jobs that run on 30-day orders, 6-month orders, or permanent positions. These are the soldiers that put on their uniform every day, and head into Augusta, Lewiston, Bangor... wherever their job takes them.
